People say we'll be a clone town if we accept the chains... The truth of the matter is that without a lure for the masses such as shops like Primark people will continue to shop elsewhere. The Treacle Market as successful as it is is not enough to keep this town afloat!

I'm am disabled and cannot get to big shopping centres. Having primark in Macclesfield will be a huge benefit to me.

Primark would be great for the town, at the moment there are no shops for children's clothes or accessories - I regularly travel out of town to visit a primark store!
