We coach at different leagues here in Oxnard. NorthSide, we, Juan Soria, Oxnard Rec. and assure you we have much Talent. Even though we have Beautiful Parks here, very little are set up for the adequate sports. For our Future Please..."Let's move on with this plan!!" and give our Children the opportunity to show others what we are really capable of. Our Children are Hungry little Athletes. Let's turn Oxnard around and hide that bad rep. we have.

Instead of parks how about more middle schools! Our middles are so impacted with students. We need more junior highs that can hold 6th through 8th over on the north side of town.

As a parent and coach of soccer players, i have seen first hand the poor and often dangerous fields our kids have to play on. Our kids need and deserve these three sports complexes.

I've been to a similar youth sports complex in a different county.. The participation was amazing... Speaking to coaches said leagues were profitable.. More kids would be willing to play it's more exciting.

I Also play adult softball and new fields would attract more teams from all over the area. Plus bring in a lot more money for the City of Oxnard

I don't play sports but I am active and like to exercise outside. We need more fresh air, green parks, gardens, trees, a better relationship with the earth and healthy activities for Oxnard instead of suffocating the earth with concrete, buildings and cars and staying indoors all the time. I believe this is more likely to decrease the crime rate.

This would be a great place for athletes and young children who want to participate in sports and cant travel to outside areas.

I want to be able to create a cal ripping jr baseball league ...we currently play at Blackstock jr. High school....and there the kids at recess dig holes all over our fields we play on....I constantly have to fill the holes before practices and then to do it again before every game....thank u so much....james young.....any questions feel free to email or call ...8052406954

Desde hace 8 años sabemos que el Estado dono fondos para la construcción de canchas de soccer en la calle 5 (old OHS) es muy importante que continúen con estos proyectos ya que esto nos ayuda a mantener a nuestros hijos fuera de pandillas y de las calles por favor piensen en los niños y jóvenes deportistas ya que no contamos con las suficientes canchas para este deporte, tenemos que usar los patios de las escuelas las cuales están en muy malas condiciones!... Las cuales han contribuido a que los niños se lastimen, es importante continuar con estos proyectos de canchas por el bien de la juventud y de la Ciudad de Oxnard para continuar con una buena calidad de vida...... GRACIAS.

Hello to whom it may concern. I am really dissapoonted to the fact that the plans were already set and done and for what ever reason now the fields are on hold. The $ money was already there and some one/s decided to mis-directed the funds. I am a soccer coach and would lime to have soccer fields for all the youth sports growth in the city of Oxnard. Rather keep the kids in sports than getting them in and out of Jail/trouble. Hope you listen to our PLEAS!

My son plays on a oxnard based baseball travel team.and is forced to practice on regular parks not properly suited for their sport.
