This petition is to be able to provide to everyone that comes to Opa and would like to smoke in the outside area by the river where our staff is able to control the noise and behaviour of everyone, instead of the present situation where people have to smoke in the street in a residential area causing noise and traffic and dirt with cigarette leftovers in the public pavement. It's everyone's interest to reduce the noise and any other kind of inconvenience to our neighbours, but unfortunately only with your honest support we can again use our most beautiful riverside spot in Bath and give to thousands of tourists the oportunnity of experiencing how classy and gorgeous Bath is at night by the river and PEACE TO THE NEIGHBOURS. Instead of having people sleeping at night or using it as a shelter for the night, etc. where we could actually provide maintenance and pay a council rent and we would also create 2 more job oportunities. Opa tried and achieved all the necessary documents with the council but at this stage the council is telling us that they don't want to allow people to use that area even just for smoking, after we spent so much time and so much money to meet all the requirements. SO WHY BEFORE THE COUNCIL ALLOW IT AND NOW NO? please give us your thoughts and tell us if you think it would be fair to allow people to use this area again.
