Front plates are absolutely ridiculous and not necessary. No one can identify a vehicle driving by the front plate. It should be optional at the very least.

I am have just relocated from QC to ON, and really don't see the purpose of the front plate.....and it is ugly on a car.

Ontario was 10kk population and if smaller provinces save pd $370k we would save way more money! Plus no one is truly using the front plate since it is hard to do while vehicle is in motion! When it is idle you can always walk around and check it out.

Seem discriminatory here in Ontario where out of province visitors, car dealers, and persons with temporary permits are not required to have front plates.

I was at the dealer to order my 2007 Pontiac Solstice ‘toy car’ when I noticed a similar car all readied up for a costumer. Seeing that car desecrated with a front license plate I felt so …………. Well, those who love some cars for the art form know how I felt and those who only see their utility could not comprehend. I turned around and left the showroom. I can not see a logical reason for front license plates. Government officials should revoke this law immediately.

Remove the front license plate from cars in ontario. There is no need for them. It Costs more money to have/make 2 for each car. Also destroying the front bumper by drilling holes into them.

Dealer plates are often permanently mounted with no front plate. Why should they be excused. Also there are are large number of cars using defaced plates where the blue numbers paint has been removed. Are these people prosecuted?
