Traffic calming measures are essential to prevent more incidents and before we have fatalities. Speed humps with clar signs at Give Way junctions on Junction of Highway Road and Kingsway.

This stretch of road has become extremely dangerous, and there are frequent accidents and near misses occurring there. Many drivers and local residents are increasingly worried about the risk to public safety due to issues such as speeding, poor visibility, dangerous junction layouts, congestion, and unsafe merging/turning points. It feels as though accidents are becoming far too common, yet little appears to be changing to improve the situation. I believe urgent action is needed before somebody is seriously injured or worse. I would ask that the relevant department urgently reviews this road and considers measures such as: • improved signage and road markings • speed reduction measures • better traffic light management • safer lane layouts/junction redesign • increased monitoring and enforcement As a resident/regular road user, I feel genuinely concerned every time I travel through this area and I know many others share the same concerns.

I live very close the the junction of highway rd and broadway rd .. and over 12 years have constantly seen and heard of bear misses and accidents on a regular basis. Surely prevention is better than reaction.
