Scottish Independence Connor Law “YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!”. These words were never truer than in the reformation of Scottish independence. So, why should you vote for Scottish independence? The answer is clear, Scotland will benefit economically, socially and politically. Your country would benefit economically, due to the fact that the tax revenue from our exports such as: Irn-Bru, Whisky and Haggis, will go to the Scottish government, instead of Westminster, where the money is then divided between the countries in the UK. In addition, the Scottish government would have the power to control the economy in Scotland by changing the tax rates, which would mean that tax rates would adapt, depending on our economic situation. Your country would benefit socially, as Scotland would reclaim its sense of national identity, as in recent years, it has become increasingly evident that Scotland has a different culture and languages to the rest of the UK. This is true, as some citizens in this country speak gaelic. Yet, among law enforcement, police officers refuse to accept a Gaelic response to official questions, as English is the national language of the UK. Therefore, the argument could be made; that Scotland has a different culture to England, Ireland and Wales and Scotland should therefore become independent. Finally, your country would benefit Politically, as Scotland would have little trouble becoming a member of the EU, UN and NATO. This is true, as the former UN secretary General, has stated that Britain could easily become an UN member if it became independent. In addition, the people of Scotland would have one government making decisions on their behalf, instead of two separate organisations attempting to provide representation. In recent years, it has been made clear that there is a lack of representation for the Scottish people in the UK government, as in 2010 General Election, a Conservative – Liberal Democrat government was elected, despite the fact that only one conservative MP was elected by a Scottish constituency. The reason, I have posted this appeal, is because I, as well as many other people in Scotland, deeply believe in Scottish independence. However I require a list of Signatures of Scottish people hoping to achieve Scottish independence in the referendum in 2014. I need you to show your support for Scottish independence. So we can band together and become one Nation as we should be a country within our own right.
