A foreclosure was initiated against Ronald McConnell, a One Bratenahl Place board member who owns Suite 802. The completion of this foreclosure would have made him ineligible for the board as he would no longer be a One Bratenahl Place property owner.

On Jan 6, the day before the foreclosure meeting with the court, Ronald McConnell filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, citing $787,596 of debt. This bankruptcy filing puts the foreclosure on hold for at least several months. However, the One Bratenahl Place bylaws (Article II, Section 4) state: "REMOVAL - Except as otherwise provided herein, the Board of Directors may remove any Director and thereby create a vacancy in the Board if by order of the court he has been found to be of unsound mind, or if he is adjudicated bankrupt..."
