In the action plan proposed in the petition, Allegheny College should set specific and measurable goals to measure success and progress towards goals.
In addition, Allegheny College should consider revising their statement from "Our hearts grieve for the tragic death of George Floyd" by replacing the word death with the word "murder" or "killing", which is more accurate.

"Repeated racial injustices suffered by Blacks in Minneapolis, in Meadville, in Atlanta, in New York City, and in so many places over the past weeks and months." Weeks and months?? This goes back decades. Racism is as American as America.
