Allegheny has failed to address racial injustice again and again. Do better.

To all of Allegheny's administration, your actions are not enough. Pandemic or not the actions taken to make our campus a welcoming and safe place for all poc students, staff, and visitors has been inadequate. All of the statements in this petition need to be revisited and potentially changed. Our campus does not feel safe. Please, take action instead of telling us that you are working alongside the community to make change. Say their names!

Class of 2015 It is important that individuals and institutions with power, privilege, and platform speak loudly for the rights of those whom have been systematically disenfranchised and oppressed. Speaking out against the status quo may be uncomfortable, but this discomfort pales in comparison to the centuries of fear and trauma endured by Black communities in our country.
