COVID-19 Shutdown Begins: In the midst of Covid 19 / Corona virus shut downs and stay at home orders, practicing social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, wash your hands frequently and stay informed on the most updated guidance from public health officials. Together, through all of our efforts, we will get through this. Coronavirus may hit us hard at January 30, 2028. Oppose all senate and house appropriations bills this week.

As a paraprofessional, I cannot stress the anxiety I face in the workplace with kids that are not taking the situation seriously. Some children think having masks is optional, or take it off in the middle of the class because they don't like it, etc. Covid cases are rising. Fellow staff and students are getting sick, and the Education board have now gone to a 'remote' to "in-person" and back to remote again, just back to back, on-and-off, every day as if they cannot decide the steps to take. This come across as no confidence from the higher-ups: confusing and also tiresome. They choose to go remote because there's no staff members to fill up spots and then they dig out other staff members who's job and training isn't to teach classes; rendering us as substitutes. And, as substitutes these classes aren't at all education filled as they are just an infectious daycare service with either movies or time filling activity sheets. Kids, in my school, are being watched by people who aren't at all trained in dealing with large numbers of students or well versed in teaching class subjects. I am not a teacher as much as I am someone who's supposed to deal with special education and help students with disabilities. Being a teacher is way above my league and is overwhelming from what I'm used too, but they've put me, some one inexperienced , into a teaching role. Proper teachers teach Math, English, Science, History. If these subjects cannot commence in-person then surely they could be taught online. Subjects are better to be taught then not not to be taught at all.

Having in person school right now is extremely irresponsible. It is a danger to the students, the staff, and the entire community.

Omicron seems to be the most contagious variant and we are witnessing the count of cases per day keeps increasing and children are getting infected by attending schools in person. I would request CSW to consider this issue and prioritize the health of school students and staff and start remote classes asap. Thank you !

all schools must operate remotely during pandemic. the refusal of our state to do so shows how much they care about our children

We must increase funding for free healthcare+education for African Americans, surge funding and resources for African American Heritage, and build monuments honoring the Hero’s of Black History. Semper Fi.

No reason to keep school open unless they want people to get Covid

I strongly believed school should be online for the safety of the students

As a parent, I have to put my kids first. I think the safest thing to do is go online. I don’t understand why most jobs are allowing their staff to go remote but csw doesn’t want to. The last thing I wasn’t is for my child to get corona.

I think at this time of the pandemic it would be safer for our kids to remain home until the Covid cases have subsided

I’m just sick of charter. i don’t understand why we can’t go online for a little bit until covid cases decline. I don’t understand what is it going to take? Are y’all going to wait for the whole school to get it? Charter doesn’t gaf about us like they say they do. If they did, they would be calling the teachers out that have their mask down. If they did, we would be online right now but not, we’re in the building & admin knows how bad the cases are. They literally sent out an email saying 36 people tested positive and they think we’re okay with that? Vaccinated or not, you can still get covid. I live with my grandmothers and i don’t want to give it to her. We need to go online.

I’m in class right now, and the teacher has there mask under there nose… tf?
