Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc CO License Plate Initiative
December 1, 2025
To bring the Commemorative Centennial “Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated” license plate to the State of Colorado by 2027, we must collect 3,500 names and signatures from licensed and registered Colorado residents, as required by the Colorado Department of Revenue.
Who We Are
On December 27, 2027, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated will celebrate 100 years as the first Black Greek-Letter Organization (BGLO) chartered in the State of Colorado. Founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University, our international fraternity of college-educated men is guided by four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.
For a century—from 1927 to the present—Omega Men have served as leaders and change agents across Colorado communities.
What We Are Asking
We are asking Colorado residents 18 years of age or older to support this effort by providing your name and Colorado address for the official petition.
- You are NOT obligated to purchase the plates.
- We are NOT requesting any donations.
- Your information will be used ONLY to meet the petition requirements of the Colorado Department of Revenue.
- You do NOT have to be a member of Omega Psi Phi to sign.
Please encourage your family members, friends, and other Colorado residents to add their names and addresses as well. Every signature helps us bring this historic plate to fruition.
What Happens Next
Once the petition requirements are met and approved, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated Centennial Celebration license plates will become available on or before December 27, 2027, through all Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations—just like other specialty plates.
