As a former principal of a primary school I gave all pupils, boys and girls, the option to wear trousers as part of their regulation school uniform.

Equality for all students.

Most young girls wear some form of trousers/leggings when they're not at school. Obviously, that's what they feel most comfortable wearing. It makes sense, therefore, to allow them to wear trousers as part of their school uniform.

100% agree that girls should be able to choose to wear trousers.

Yes all pupils should have the choice on what they wear. Uniforms are a drain on parents resources better spent on day to day issues

Girls should not be merited for TROUSERS… TROUSERS! Disgusting. It’s 2023. What about muslims too? Trousers are far cheaper, comfier,easier to maintain, etc. You complain about these girls rolling their skirts up but obligate when they want to wear a pair of black trousers?! Humble yourself and let these poor girls wear a pear. I bet you the main reason girls are only allowed skirts is because or profit!

This petition was created by Edie Boyle and Eva Mackey by the way with the company of some other girls in our year and we did not expect to get so many signs, if people can keep sharing to friends and posting online I would really appreciate it as our current goal is 100 signs but we would ultimately hope to get to 500.
