The Central Government of India refuses to introduce a Pension Scheme for the 30,000 Registered Retired Seafareres of India, being the differential of wages which they had recieved from the foreign shipping company's and which now stands to the tune of Rs:600 crores.

This money should be paid back to the Retired Registered Seafarers of India,the Government has entrusted this amount to the Seafarers Welfare Fund Society(Mumbai) who are playing games with this money by creating other unecessary schemes and showing false accounts.

75% of these Retired Seafarers are no more,and for the past 32 years till today only Rs:200/-is being given to these Retired Seafarers and their widows as monetary assistance by the S.W.F.S.and that too after 6 months only,if the S.W.F.S.is not willing to enhance this monetary assistance, it is better that the Government take strict initiatives and see that the Rs:600 crores is paid back to the Retired Registered Seafarers and their widows without delay.
