St Olave's should not evict the 3rd Orpington Scout Group from its grounds
http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/bromley/9985331.Orpington_scout_group_told_by_St_Olave_s_School_to_leave/?ref=nt Aydin Onac, Headmaster of St Olave's, is planning to evict the 3rd Orpington Scout Group from the school grounds by July 2013. This group has been in place for 46 years. The grounds are far from the main school site, which has copious amounts of open space as it is. No explanation has been given from Mr Onac as to why the lease is not being renewed, and it can only be assumed the school wishes to make a small financial gain from the sale of the land. The school brands itself as having a 'strong ethos of care and courtesy and a warm community feel', a complete contrast to the action it is pursuing. No consultation has been made with students, residents or the scout group and therefore this must be rectified by the Headmaster, along with an explanation of the eviction. If this is not sufficient, the eviction should be blocked.
