We have one question, "Why do Ola School students need to go anywhere?"

We are here, working tirelessly, to raise funds to repair the Ola School. Please let our students stay here in Ola and continue our rural way of life in our beloved Ola, Idaho, United States of America.

To many people, Ola School, may seem like some place off in the distance and so small and numerically insignificant that they don't give much thought about why our existence matters. I, in fact, used to be a believer of such same feelings; until, I moved to Ola in 2015 and since have been given a fresh perspective.

Ola's rural community has a variety of people; ranchers, farmers, shop owners, commuters, business persons, contractors, equipment operators who all have one thing in common, they live and love Ola. Not just for its amazing location but for its unique and small 1800's, little house on the prairie, community. Are we really ever going to grow? Many hope not. Are we every going to see huge numbers in our school? Some still hope not.

Ola's School fits right into this perfect setting. It increases peoples property values, it provides extra fun community activities involved around elementary age cuteness. It is a source of pride, strength and endless sacrifice our small rural community family will fight to keep. Some families have been sending their children to Ola for four generations. Can your family say that?

Again, please don't take our students away. We're already missing our school, but to miss our community also, would not only be devastating to our families but our standing in our rural community. The Ola School is part of the Gem County tax base and with our voices and the voices of our friends and neighbors we declare, we have something special and would like to keep it that way. All can help us keep it that way, use your voice and sign this petition. Tell our school board that our students will not leave Ola.
