Tax money is public money and should pay for public education. Private schools and homeschool is a private decision and should not take away from public schools. Support public education and fund it.

Please don't take money from our public schools! We are already desperate to keep our heads above water. Why do you wish to harm our public schools?

Charter expansion into suburban and rural Oklahoma is the companion issue to vouchers this session. They both raid funding from our existing public schools.

i am appalled that the legislature would even consider this voucher bill. As a retired educator I am saddened at the state of our education system in Oklahoma.

Vouchers are bad public policy — they divert much needed funds away from public schools, make education into a commodity, and use public funds for private gain. For shame!

This is a subversion of this country's public school system which exists to serve all students. Private schools choose whom to serve. They and home schoolers answer to no one. Public schools must abide by policies and standards set by locally elected school boards as well as state regulations. We must not deprive our public schools of their already deeply cut funding.
Vouchers will hinder the development of our public education system rather than promoting it's excellence.
