This is a ploy to take money away from public education. I assure you vouchers WILL NOT benefit any student I teach, but it will effect their education. Public education is not FULLY funded and it certainly WILL NOT get funding with bills like this!

As a taxpayer, I don't want my tax dollars going to any religious, charter, online, or other unnamed Avenue to educate the next generation. If parents want to send their child somewhere other than a public school then let them pay for that.

It is public schools where we all meet and learn to get along. Let's not start getting into "tribal" institutions where everybody goes to school only with people who are the same in certain ways.

I'd support this idea ONLY if it also leveled the playing field for public schools, private schools and charter schools so that they all operated under the same requirements (or were all exempt from the same requirements). As it is, it's just an anti public school bill.
