Dispatchers are THE first responders! Without dispatchers police officers, fire trucks, and ambulances don’t get sent. We talk people through crisis and sometime the worst days of their lives. We use emd to provide medical aide and ask key questions to make share that people are out of harms way and it’s safe for our first units on scene. We miss as much time away from our love ones as officers and often gather key information on 911 calls that help with investigations and cases. We are the first.. first responders.

Indiana has already done this and should be done. They are the true beginning of the emergency service and response. Police, Fire, and Ems can not respond without being dispatched
