I bought my 2010 Wrangler used with 53,000 miles on it. It was very clean and we'll taken care of! Two oil changes ago it started usin a quart every 900 miles!

I just replaced my engine at 48700 miles :(. I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler I can't believe they don't realize something is wrong with this engine!

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, my son has a 2008 Jeep Wrangler - the 2010 is not using oil yet (just 22,000 miles). My son's has 68,000 and we have to add a quart about every 600 miles.

08 and I burn a quart every 500-800 miles. Been this way since new.
They won't do a damn thing about it however, word of mouth matters and I tell everyone not to buy and why.

My 2007 Wrangler Unlimited consumes between 1 and 2 quarts of oil every 1,000 miles - an insane amount of consumption. Seems like the QC for the engine was non-existent.

I bought my 08 jeep used from a dealership about 8 months ago, it was really clean like it was a leased vehicle maybe, very well taken care of. I spent a lil over $100 on my oil change got the best oil I could find and a K&N oil filter, had a certified mechanic change the oil, after a month maybe a little more a couple days give or take, the engine started knocking bad on my way to work. I asked my mechanic what was wrong an he advised me to get it towed right away to the dealership. I contacted my warranty company and they got it towed, the dealership told me I needed the engine rebuilt and the rod bearings were burnt out and the motor was shot, they said there was only a quart of oil in it too. I couldn't believe it, so I went an looked under it for signs of leaking, there was none. It hadn't leaked out from anywhere and I check my oil religiously so it couldn't have used that much that quick without something being wrong w it. The warranty company wouldn't cover it because there was so little oil in it, but how is that something thats my fault when I had it changed a month before that and checked it a week before it happened?? Idk what happened but I had to pay $4,000 to get it rebuilt and im getting an attorney asap. I took great care of it, and I spent like $2,200 on the warranty, so im getting screwed. I almost lost my job because I haven't had a ride for like 2 months since nobody would cover it and I had to borrow from my mother to getit fixed. I had to walk like 8 miles to and from work sseveral times, in the rain sometimes, I really think that i should be reimbursed for all the time and suffering I went through. Its not right, in no way did I do anything that would cause that to happen and I spent so much extra trying to prevent anything happening to it. I love my jeep to death but jeep does need to fix whatever problem is causing this to happen to so many people. And make it right.
