2009 jk 2-door. I burn so much oil I have to check it and or add to it three or four times a week. I've even replaced the factory hood latches because of overuse! I have to add so much oil it doesn't make sense to change it, but in still do...

I have a 2011 JK unlimited and go through about a quart every 1k. I have had an oil consumption test through the dealer and was told I was under the limit and it is normal for this engine to use this much oil. This is not normal and I have never had a vehicle like this before. I have 12 year old chevy truck that does not use a drop of oil.

We have a 2010 unlimited that was using a quart every 150 to 200 miles. Took it to the dealer and it was the PCV valve. They changed it and have not had a problem since. Other than its a weenie motor that couldn't beat a moped.

2011 JEEP JK 3.8L 40,000 Miles Using Oil 1 Quart every 2500 Miles.
This is not acceptable no matter what Chrysler says. I also have a 3.7L with 110,000 miles with no oil usage. Can you say GM key switch. They are trying to avoid a recall.

My Rubicon just towed to dealership. Engine ruined. Under the 100,000 mile warranty, but may refuse to honor due to late oil change. Will fight.

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler and it uses 1.5 to 2 quarts every 3,000 miles. The dealer told me it had to use over 3 quarts every 3,000 to be considered under warranty. I just trade my old 2001 Chevy Truck with 240,000 miles on it and it only used 1 quart every 3,000 miles.

My jeep just went to the dealer to replace the engine. Didn't know about this problem and now I have to pay $10,000 to fix this. I am fighting this. This should be told to everyone who owns a jeep. It's disgusting how people are taken advantage of.
