I'm in the medical field and hear the stoi everyday. I'm living this personally now on some level. I won't allow my daughter/s to risk killing their grandparents over politics. Think of the entire picture and re- evaluate after Christmas.

The survey sent out in May doesn’t represent the seriousness of the situation now. We are in dangerous territory with the virus and need to think of how it will affect everyone. We all want to have the kids back in school but only when we can all feel safe.

Alumni Class of 67..Since I retired in 2014, I have been the primary ride home/pick up for both of my grandchildren from DMS and OHHS. What I've observed at both locations for the past 5 plus years is there are a lot of grandparents, aunts, uncles and older individuals picking up your students. So, while the thoughts that students aren't at a great risk, what about the older people in their lives that give family support, which are in a higher risk category taking your students home. Please give consideration to "us" in your decision to reopen school in the fall. Thank you....

Our county is at a level 3 headed to level 4, i cannot in good conscience send my daughter to school where she could become deathly ill, or cause another to become potentially deathly ill. If you fully open now, you might as well waive all vaccine requirements.

With schools opening up it increases the spread cause kids are not sanitary And this could pose an issue with spread. I just want to keep those at risk in my own family safe and with schools opening up there is a much higher chance of catching and spreading.

I concur with every statement made herein.
I further ask you to look at the data related to Covid-19 survival. Multiple resources, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, etc have documented irreversable, life altering brain damage.
Therefor, two students may die. Are you willing to risk over a thousand students who survive with irreversable brain damage?

just wearing mask isnt safe no more... im thinking 1st quarter should be 2 days a week.. Monday and Fridays.... when first fall break comes, reevaluate the covid number and risk... soon as its safe to return we will go back

As an alumni of OHHS, I implore the school board to protect teachers and families alike. It would be unconscionable to go back when the cases are rising. Please don’t couple the good Highlander name with politics.

Current technology like Microsoft teams can facilitate practical and effective online learning with video interaction for our middle and high school children!
If they are testing all teachers prior to opening the schools, then all students should be tested as well
