I picked strawberries for 1 day in Washington state in 68, I was 21 years old. I never went back the next day, I was in so much pain from bending over all day. I did the job because I thought it would be a fun & easy way to earn some money. I don't know how people can do such hard work every day. I am not a lazy person, I have to keep moving & am still working at 70.

We as consumers can make change by what we buy and where buy it. The farmers in this country should be subsidized as much as the big agriculture is. Our government should be ashamed that they are all in the pockets of these agro Giants. the farm workers and small farm owners just continually get stepped on and run into bankruptcy because they are taking money away from these giants. A fair wage for a day's work should not even be an argument The farmers can't afford to do more than they are. It's time our government wakes up and gives those subsidy monies to the farmers and their workers, and stops feeding the giants who don't need the help and who certainly don't deserve it.

I think it is totally unfair that we treat the people who pick the foods that we consume so unfairly. What is shame that the country one of the richest in history can have such little concern for people. Go Bernie!

Please create fair working wages for farm workers. This is a real issue and we need to ensure the well being of all human beings in order to survive as a species.

It's a shame that a chain such as Publix would not have any decency in lending their support to something as noble as the Fair Food Agreement. I will have to think twice about buying at Publix now.

I watched the movie, Food Chains, and my sympathy for your cause is heartfelt. I went to the Publix website and submitted my concerns to them directly in an email. I did use to buy at Publix in the past, and was unaware of the system that exploits one community to present a positive image to another one.
