"As a citizen of the great state of Ohio and your constituent, I object to the U.S. government’s dangerous deficit spending which has put America at risk for bankruptcy. Accordingly, I move to amend the U.S. Constitution to establish a Balanced Budget Amendment which requires that the U.S. government spend no more than it takes in. Furthermore, I strongly urge you to apply for the 'Convention for proposing Amendments' found in Article V of the Constitution in order to bypass the federal government and ratify a Balanced Budget Amendment."
