We can do better.

We should get doubles for the prices that we pay, and I've never heard anyone complain about good pours...

The demographics are changing in Washougal whether local businesses like it or not. The quality of food choices and service needs to reflect that. Even something as simple as the layout of the menu would improve the restaurant image.

Need consistent hours in restaurant. I have heard the f word used 3 times in the last month. I was 2 holes away with grand kids. This is not acceptable.

Food quality has deteriorated in the last couple of years, especially the breakfast items. . Also, the drink pours should be adjusted. People are receiving doubles and triples for the price of a single drink.

Would a set of minimum disciplines help to achieve standards that we can all be proud of ? This is a good club that needs some changes to be a great club .

It is possible they have seen it? I can’t be sure. I have had some fantastic customer service and the board will hear that from me at least. My best advice is to put together your thoughts in writing to give to the board. I feel that is the most respectful way to provide positive and constructive feedback to our board on your expectations.

Thank you for the question. I agree a written statement for the board would be helpful. The petition will be delivered to the board, they will then notify members of the date and time of the meeting. It is the hope to have written statements to provide the board prior to the meeting so they will have the expectations and concerns, so there is more focus on a plan of action at the meeting. Is this meeting open to all members? Has this meeting been set up yet (date/time)? I have feedback good and bad - but I don’t feel that this is the appropriate place I suppose. I will say that the wait staff has been nothing but fantastic in my opinion.

I appreciate this petition and process. I look forward to being part of the solutions, if possible. Due to poor food quality, my wife and I no longer have dinner in our restaurant. Breakfast quality is still acceptable, but has declined in the three years I have been a member. Burgers, sandwiches and, especially, the hot dogs are good. Also, the wine service and drink pours are excellent and of high quality - big kudos on that score. Customer service in the restaurant and bar varies considerably depending on the server/waitstaff. Lastly, being that our course is in the PNW, it is ridiculous that we do not have a handful of great beers (IPAs) available from the beverage/food cart and in the restaurant/bar. My recommendations/expectations of the restaurant: 1. By whatever measure(s) necessary, improve the food choices and quality for dinner OR do away with the special dinners entirely and stick to a simpler/classic menu so food quality is improved and consistent. 2. Ensure all staff members are trained, competent and customer-service oriented. IMO, some staff changes may be necessary in order to accomplish this. 3. Get, and keep available, some great beer. Again, thank you for the opportunity to provide input.

Please lower prices on food and bevs! Also I love the staff so much they take such great care of me and my family but maybe need to do a makeover on them?

We quit going into the restaurant because of the food and service.

After several disappointing visits, my family will no longer accompany me to the club restaurant. The burgers and sandwiches on the lunch menu are acceptable, but breakfast quality is much better at every other restaurant in the area and I've never had a good dinner. Server quality is also variable with some doing an exceptional job and others not performing up to par.

The Club House Restaurant has a dated menu and lack fresh and healthy food options. The prices are far too high for such poor food quality.

A good discussion has been long overdue

Standards meet to be made on quality, behavior, service and fees when holding a tournament. That will take all the emotion, favoritisms etc. out of the equation. At the end of the day we as the members are the stake holders here. Not only are we the customer but the owners. I think that has been lost somehow, someone’s bonus should not be the primary goal, in fact that should not even come up in conversation when discussing food quality, service etc. if we had good food at reasonable prices and great service more people would be in the restaurant. Which in turn will make more money because of total volume, not individual margin. Some of our servers are amazing, others need coaching and others need to go. And lastly, after being at Rudy’s birthday party my perception was to never host a private gathering up there. Thank goodness for Amanda or it would have been worse. She did great.

I think a review of both food choices and staff should up for evaluation. We are no longer eating at the club if we can avoid it.
