This is a wonderful game and it's a shame that I can't enjoy it in the wonderful ecosystem provided by Steam because of a lapse in judgement by the (now resigned) developer. Please don't take this out on the customers of your service, Valve!

Except they do deserve what happened because they allowed it to happen. The twitter insults, defamation, and threat were made over a period of time. In that period of time the "other half" of the company remained silent. Nor did he appear to make any effort to silence his partner. Further, the game company published, in full the sorry excuse of an "apology" from "Murderbeck" without sanitizing it of things like: "If I do continue to work in games it’ll be as an anonymous 1 of 1000 at some shitty corporation, not the most public figure of a single digit sized team." Full culpability resides with the company for its on-going and systematic failure to censor its "voice" as evidenced by: "My temper and tendency to use twitter to vent has been a consistent problem since I entered the games industry, and I just can’t do it." You don't just walk away from that with an 'apology' and a 'petition' after you've condoned that exact behavior for a long period of time. You don't get to go, "oh, that stuff that was happening and I implicitly accepted it by allowing to happen for a long period of time... that stuff? nope, I don't condone it. Really. I mean, it was within my power to stop it and I could have spoken up any number of times previously but I didn't." Finally, "I extend my hand to all of you in hopes that you can understand, that to err is human. We have all done it, at one time or another." No, I have never raged in a public forum while representing a company to any degree of what happened here. I have never issued death threats. I do not like the implication that Travis is making that everyone is an immature child with the temperament of a rabid racoon. This was not just some little oops, I made a mistake... ha. ha.. silly me moment. You cannot pass it off like that. Nope, that does not wash. If he is serious about fixing the situation he should start by stating that Code Avarice believes that Valve is a solid and reputable co

Mike was a douche. So was Travis. They both fucked over the rest of the team. But no. This game should not be allowed back on Steam. It had its chance, and now that chance has been thrown away. No amount of begging and whining will change that.

People make mistakes, and it isn't excusable, however this shouldn't affect the rest of a company because of the error of a single worker

Mike saying something stupid shouldn't ruin his entire career.

Do not crush a team's entire dreams like that, Valve. Please.

This is a very fun game and I agree that Mike said something stupid, but he has resigned now and I don't believe that the team that he is no longer apart of should be punished. Please let this game back on steam!

What that guy did was wrong however the whole team that worked on the game should get a 2nd chance.

Someone really should've stopped Mike Maulbeck from using twitter. Regardless, I'd rather this game succeed at least a little bit more than it has since it's an excellent piece of electronic entertainment.
