As non-native Spanish speakers, we value the Spanish programs to enhance our child's education and provide opportunity for the lessons and practice. Please do not allow their continued foreign language education to lapse - we have worked so hard at Lin Howe to give them a base / head start and we value it so much!!

Please keep Spanish in 6th grade! My 1st and 3rd graders are learning so much at the Lin Howe program, it would be shame for that to come to an abrupt end in 6th. Please keep Spanish in 6th grade.

I am a Latina mother of two kids who I didn't teach spanish from the begin. Now that they are older I had been struggling to get them to pick it up my own and now with the schools spanish class I've had a lot more success.

It would be wonderful for our children to be able to continue learning Spanish in sixth grade.

I have watched the Spanish program since inception, my daughter was in its earliest class and my son is in his first year. It is a huge asset to our school and to our children’s academic and social development. To Lose that, even for a year would be awful. Please consider this option.

Please continue Spanish in Middle School. LA is a dual language city. Spanish is essential for our kids to succeed.

My daughter will enter 6th grade soon, and for a girl who is passionate and enthusiastic since Kindergarten about learning Spanish, who makes a conscious effort to get to school 3 mornings a week before 8am to attend Spanish without fail says a lot about a communities' needs and desire for teaching their kids Spanish. If Lin Howe can make the effort to get an almost all run Volunteer Spanish Program successfully run, we beg CCUSD to take note and give these kids the chance they deserve for continuing Spanish education for every child who wants to. It should not be exclusively reserved for kids of immersion programs only. We are a district taking pride in educating the WHOLE child, this include children from non immersion programs to have access their entire school career to Spanish Language instruction as well, without fail or interruption in their learning. For the sake of our kids, PLEASE ensure Spanish is an option in 6th grade too!
