I have been meeting with student leaders this week to explain why our student fees should not fund speakers who target our community. The conversations are difficult but necessary if we want to change how these events are approved.

The momentum behind this request proves that many of us are tired of watching our contributions fund events that target our own peers. Seeing so many people step forward to demand a change in policy tells me that we are finally ready to insist on a campus environment that respects us all.

It is not too much to ask for speakers that actually contribute something positive to the campus instead of just being jerks.
FINALLY some common sense. stop paying for people who just come here to insult us.
vet them better. pretty simple.
School is supposed to be a place where we feel safe not harassed by people invited here just to stir up trouble.
Keep campus safe for everyone. Tired of people hiding behind free speech to say hateful things.

Why are my tuition dollars going to pay these people? Totally ridiculous.
