I'm signing this petition because something needs to be done about housing. I don't pay 12,000 for room and board to be having to fight for somewhere to live. Make it guaranteed housing up to junior year

My daughter attends CNU. I'm not as concerned about the cost difference although it does matter, I think off campus housing offers choices and alternatives so students can choose what's right for them. It also is a way for them to transition from the protection of campus life to learning life skills.

This would relive not just housing but also a lot of parking from cars that just sit on campus all day long. Many students would not have to take off semesters to raise money or transfer as they don't see another option of saving money. We are all adults and there is a practical solution that we all are willing to negoiate. I can't justify paying 12000 for being doubled with random on east when I am almost 21. That is about the price to live in the same size apartment in new York. The housing exemption policy is not working because too many students are no longer just from the area and do not have relatives that can support them.

Yes we know that living on campus increases the percentage of people who graduate in four years at a college, but to those people just trying to save money, the whole 3 years on campus is hurting my budget.

The university uses the housing numbers to help their ratings and national ranking. While this is good for the administration and the outlook of the university, the policy is crippling our housing administration. We need to ensure that every student who needs housing on campus receives it, and that every student who desires to live off campus is permitted to do so. For some, living off campus is cheaper for them because they have more financial resources. However, for others, particularly those with significant federal and state financial aid, living on campus is the only viable option. Honestly, any student who wants to live off campus should be allowed to. Remember, we are all adults here. In closing, please show your support by also signing this petition. Perhaps, we will gain traction as a group.

If they don't want us to live off campus then they should try to make so many seniors and super senior retain a room, making it nearly impossible for juniors to get what they want.
