This huge and sudden increase in prices is incredibly unreasonable and unfair on the clubs that use the facilities to promote grass roots sport with kids.
The poor design of the changing room/cafe facility building was a missed opportunity to provide a facility that could have subsidised the running costs - a decent cafe and bar would have helped to make more money.

An increase of 81% is a ridiculous increase to expect people to pay. Odd down is an incredible asset to bath and one which we cannot afford to lose use of. Increasing charges will drive people to use other services therefore a loss in income. Look at the bigger more long term goal!

Please try to find grants, sponsorship so that this is a community space, just like the playing fields. It has to be fairly available for all.

We need to maintain fair rates and support the community use the facilities and keep team games affordable for clubs run by volunteers, providing kids with a structured outlet and discipline whilst having the opportunity to play against teams from across the local areas. Please do not impact and take away a rich source of affordable recreation for girls and boys buy making it unaffordable for community run teams.

The Government ethos on Sport for All is in jeopardy if such unreasonable increases in charges like these are made. These sporting facilities should be available to all groups at rates which reflect economical sense to grassroots sports and not about profit. Maintenance costs that are reasonable rather than extortion can be met but not without customers. Think again before taking this drastic uplift in charges

This is incredibly disappointing if tesco put their prices up 40% or more they would not have any customers. It sounds like GLL have paid far too much for their contract and are desperately trying to exploit a captive audience.

Disgraceful unethical price hike totally against the ethos of Sport for all. The facilities developed at Odd Down are fantastic but will potentially only be for the use of those organisations who can pay most. Community facility? What sort of community facility is that! Well done BANES. Well done BETTER.

What an own goal. The Council have built an excellent facility at Odd Down which is being well used by many local Clubs and organisations, all of which is encouraging physical exercise in people of all ages. At a time when health and social care costs are at the top of the agenda, the Council need to demonstrate their commitment to promoting health and wellbeing and stop these excessive price increases.

This is what BANES said about the Odd Down site when it was under development: "The development at Odd Down Playing Fields is part of over £3m investment by Bath & North East Somerset Council, Sport England, British Cycling, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Rugby Football Union (RFU), the Premier League and The FA Facilities Fund and will ensure a legacy for the whole community for generations to come."
Where is that legacy for the community now with these price hikes?

The costs for the clubs should be kept as low as possible to ensure children from all backgrounds can join up and benefit from the wonderful work that is done by the volunteering coaches. Please don't destroy the good work done by our clubs
