How can the rates need to go up by 40-50% in a year if this facility is run on a not-for-profit basis? Football is the widest participation and most inclusive sport for boys and girls but silly costs will put off many. Not great for future England teams! Please review this plan and keep rates reasonable for all youth clubs, not just a chosen two!

Its simple, as yourself the question: "what is the best way to ensure our children don't go down the wrong paths in the future?" answer: by ensuring there is opportunity for them to do something they love and grow from and that parents can utilise without extortionate prices... if you think about that it should inform decisions and choices around community facilities...

This kind of price hike is simply not on. These people clearly have no interest in the kids development. It's just all about money for them. Such a shame as it's a brilliant setup which could be ruined because of this.

I am a local person and believe that all local foitball clubs and schools should be able to use the Odd Down Sports facilities at a fair and competitive price. Local facilities for local people. Make it affordable and it will be used more. Overcharge, it will be unusable.

Grassroots and Junior's sport should be protected from all threats as much as possible such as financial issues, safeguarding issues and more. It's amazing how UK business has forgotten enterprise in ways to cover costs and just revert to charging entrance fee's.

BWB is a fantastic club that has developed my son's football, social and teamwork skills. This has been made possible for many parents by being affordable. I would hate to see BWB priced out of Odd Down or restricted there after being loyal and respectful users of the facilities. I hope dissappoinent for the boys and the club can be avoided and BWB will remain welcome at Ofd Down and that families will continue to be able to afford for their sons to play football there.

My son is one of the children who play with Bath City Youth FC. The Odd Down playing fields are a stones throw from where we live. Indeed we suffered a loss of amenity when our access was hindered by the creation of the cycling track. I think it completely unreasonable that BCTF show be denied concessionary rates that others benefit from. It should be a level playing field in all senses of the word. Furthermore BANES should increase its subsidy to ensure more rather than fewer children engage in sport to meet its obligations to the community.

This facility was largely funded by taxpayers so it's a disgrace that private companies should attempt to profit from it.

Sport should be available to ALL.
I honestly believe that the council needs to reflect carefully on it's original vision for the facility. If the current administration simply prioritises financial turnover, without due consideration to the core principles of sport for all, then by outsourcing the administration the council members have failed the very people that elected them to take care of our precious public resources.

Ian we are Fc United OF Bath and I think people are getting us mixed up with the other team.it's been our 1st season and have made a massive loss our accounts are open to the parents of our new club

I agree George I'm part owner of Fc United of Bath and we have made a huge lose in our 1st season we are a non profit club .we do this because we love grassroots football so for us it's a great help for next season.the price stays the same for us

What is right about allowing profit for a private company over the a non-profit making organisation run for the benefit of Bath and it's environs youth teams ... paid for by parents? This smacks of the decision maker gaining financially - on the board of the private company?
If this goes through, I and many others will boycott Odd Down.
This is a terrible decision and must be reversed.
