North Vancouver Citizens are requested to sign this petition in support of making changes to OCP Bylaw 8400 as follows:
1. That only one of either a secondary suite or a coach house be allowed on a residential property.
2. That the following areas be rezoned as Residential Level 4:
400-500 blks E 3rd St
600-700 blks E 3rd St(south side)
500 & 600 blks E 1st and 2nd St
3. That 1500-1700 blks, Eastern Avenue, east side be rezoned at 6 story Maximum.
4. That East 15th st, 100 blk, north side be rezoned at 6 story Maximum.

This version of the OCP has ignored the input given by hundreds of us last spring. This whole process is scandalous!
Out of control density growth, no attention to infrastructure, endangers pedestrians/bicyclists/drivers, places huge strain on overstressedhealthcare and other essential services, high "market" rents and high real estate costs make decent housing impossible to find except for the wealthy or those willing to risk high debts. No viable OCP is destructive to the lives of many people in our community.

N. Vancouver is turning into another crowded, generic, expensive suburb. The house my mother grew up in on East Keith, with huge Victory garden, is now invisible due to new big houses crowded in front of it. No more hideous high rises!
