I don’t know this coach personally, but Osage City is my hometown. I participated in almost every sport offered at Osage. I recently moved to SFT and my 8 year old son just finished his first year with their Trailhands Wrestling Club! He loves it and is wanting to learn more! I support Osage wanting to bring this to their school! Kids can learn so much through a coach, teammates, and from themselves!!

OCHS would be lucky to have him as a coach and his dedication to our youth is unmatched. As a hometown healthcare provider the benefits of this sport would be tremendous to keeping kids active, healthy, and involved!!!

I am very excited to see Osage City finally incorporate wrestling as a sport choice for our students. I would very much like to see Coach Jamy Dunbar be installed as the head coach of this endeavor. Mr. Dunbar has dedicated his heart and soul into developing this program for our local kids. He has taught these kids so much about not only wrestling, but, life lessons in patience, dealing with adversity, and how to carry themselves both on and off the mat. Jamy deserves the opportunity to continue leading this program into the future.

Jamy Dunbar has built the Osage wrestling program from the very beginning. He has spent countless hours of his own time working with kids. It would seem that it would be a natural fit for his leadership to continue at the high school program. He has certainly shown his passion by his dedication the past 10 years.

I have known Jamy since 1989 and he has always been an outstanding person both as a wrestler and a parent. I believe he would make an excellent head coach based on his passion and dedication to the sport!

The program Jamey Dunbar, along with the parents and wrestlers, has been an amazing addition to the community of Osage City. Seeing these young people go from timid, shy, not knowing very little to nothing about wrestling into the strong, confident, talented athletes that they are now has been a joy. I am very proud of the job Jamey and fellow parents/coaches have accomplished!

Jamy introduced not just a new sport to Osage City youth, but a sense of community and more importantly family. He gives individual attention to each and every kid, no matter their skill level. Being able to have our youth that is involved in wrestling be able to continue in our school and community is definitely ideal.

Coach Dunbar has fostered a great wrestling program in Osage City and has done everything the school board has asked. It’s time to bring OCHS on board with a wrestling program. These student athletes deserve to have their sport represented.

Jamy took my 5 year old son who was practically mute and would not make eye contact with anyone and turned him into a competitive wrestler. Coach has shown him comparison, respect, toughness, and always knows what the situation calls for. When we had a family tragedy, Jamy and his family were by my son's side....missing work to be with him because they are a family....more than a team. My son is now 10 and coach took him to the state level even after having an appendectomy halfway through the season last year. We come from out of district, drive further than we have to because Jamy is our coach, our leader, our mentor. Thanks coach.

It would only be right to start a wrestling program at Osage!! What would be even better is if Jamy Dunbar would be named head coach with all his years of dedication running the youth program AND being a wrestler himself.

Jamy is the perfect person for this. I watched him wrestle from the time we were in junior high and he can teach the kids everything they need to know. Wrestling also gives great life skills and with the right coach each student can go far!

Successful teams owe their accomplishment to uniting like a family as athletes, coaching staff, management and their families. I believe that Jamy has proven throughout the years with his dedication, abilities, track record and close community ties that he is the perfect candidate for the coaching position.
