The lanes were put in place to lower the Carbon Footprint. What puts out less than a car? A motorcycle. Plus, a lot of motorcycles are air cooled and heat up in slow traffic. It will also cut down on motorcyclists lane splitting and using the side of the highway.

Can't get more green than a motorcycle.

Really. ...should this be wasted time for consideration in a place of high education.

Makes total sense to allow 2 wheels to use Ontario HOV lanes.

Safer and more environmentally friendly than two guys in a work truck.

would be a good idea and would be a step in making the highways safe for motorcycles.

I am a rider since the age of 16. I ride when I can which I believe is an asset to the environment. We all can do our part! Motorcycles are a YES vote to pass!!

scott hughes

Please allow motorcycles on the HOV lanes as we take up very little space compared to automobiles. It's safer for us to travel on the HOV lanes than to be in stop and go traffic. Thank you, Scott Hughes

blair

We should be allowed to travel hov lanes.

It seems they have proven with the PanAm games that bikes are as efficient as 3 people in a car. Why is that not the case for the rest of our lives?

Bikes in the HOV lanes is beneficial to both riders and the environment. Keeping bikes moving is safer, uses less fuel and makes for happier riders.

Motorcycles pay to use highways. No highway should be off limits I just put out $140.00 and I can`t run a HOV lane?

Robert Street

It's about time the government listened to the riders. This would be safer for everyone.

Bill Deller

Would be safer for bikes for sure.

Jackie Dalzell

I believe it would be safer for the riders

normand genest

Also a safety reason as fewer vehicles cutting you off when changing lanes. Motorcycles are already excluded in many jurisdictions from having 2 passengers.

Janice

its the safest place on the highway for a motorcycle to ride. We need a shoulder if we need avasive action

Tricia

Definitely the safest place for a motorcycle rider.

Rusty MacNeil

It would be the logical thing to do. Would be a first for your government!

Denise Ravenhunt

This should be allowed. It is a question of safety and fuel economy for motorcycles.

Bob Barkey

Safest lane to ride in.

I believe bikes should be allowed to use the HOV lanes to keep as far left as possible. This is a safer place to be. Traffic can only be on your right which makes it less likely to get cut off by vehicles changing lanes.

An excellent idea that should have been implemented years ago!
