OCADU 5th Floor Redesign

For a school meant to cultivate creativity and ingenuity, the fifth floor is one of the coldest and emptiest industrial-feeling spaces in the building.
The severe artificial lighting, flat grey and white decor and lack of flow leaves little to be desired. Many students have expressed their concerns as they fear for the quality of their focus, and subsequently, their work.
Sign up with us to help change our work atmosphere for the better. With every ED/ID student (or any one else wishing to support this cause) signing up and donating just $7, we would be able to show just how important this is while taking care of the majority of the funding ourselves.
How exactly will we be putting your donations to use?
- Plants: Terrariums, hydroponic plants, hanging plants (a group will be organized to take care of these)
- Inflatable bean bags
- A few fold-a-beds (http://bit.ly/2yX6g1B)
- Ideal lighting: we plan to reduce the harsh fluorescent lights and create several areas where lighting is more personalized and generates a more cozy and comfortable environment
- Aren’t you tired of the blank, utilitarian white walls? Time to get some murals and other decor up there (we won't paint over the walls but rather hang up huge mural-like paintings)
