The respected Mr. Chairman of the board, best regards to you,

We the signatories to this petition object the revision and the amendments to the mosque’s rules and regulations, in addition to how they are being implemented. These amendments violate the law across various points including: the way the meeting was held on the date 19th of Feb, 2019, the way the vote was handled, the illegality of the administration who have a conflict of interest to be involved in the bylaw update and revision, the way the meeting was terminated due to condolences and prayer.
The time to discuss this meeting was very limited. In addition, the votes and freedoms of speech of the members were influenced by biased opinions of the administration.

For example, this is including but not limited to:

1. Revision and amendments cannot be done by a former board member who lost to previous elections.
2. Revision and amendments cannot be done by a board member who currently is an employee of the LMM
3.The administration of voting on the bylaw was not neutral and this negatively affected the deviation of the votes of the members in a specific area. In result , this does not guarantee the right to freedom of expression .
4. Meetings should have a conclusive ending without rushing into decisions that might affect the mosque on the long run. As such, meetings should not be held in a time constrictive manner so that it lies only between prayers for example.
5. Former board members whom committed errors (regarding employment and dismissal) should not contribute towards these amendments.

نحن الموقعين على هذه العريضه بعدم موافقتنا على التعديلات لقانون المسجد وطريقة إعداد هذه التعديلات عن طريق أشخاص تتضارب مصالحهم مع القانون الداخلي للمسجد والتي تخالف القانون في أكثر من نقطه وأيضا الطريقه التي تم بها التصويت في الإجتماع بتاريخ 19-2-2019وعدم قانونيه ادارة الإجتماع و التصويت والطريقه التي أغلق به الإجتماع بحجه التعزيه والصلاه وعدم إعطاء الوقت الكافي للمناقشه والشرح هذا بالإضافه الى تدخل من يدير الإجتماع وتحيزيه للعبث بأصوات الحضور وتأثيره عليهم .
فمثلا وليس حصراً :
1- لايمكن أن يكون من يعدل القانون كان عضواً بالبورد وسقط في إنتخابات سابقه
2- لايمكن أن يكون من يعدل القانون كان عضواً بالبورد و يعمل في الجامع حالياً
3- ادارة التصويت على القانون لم تكن حيادية و اثرت سلبياً في انحراف الأصوات بجهة محددة لا تضمن حق حرية التعبير عن الرأي.
4 - لايمكن غلق إجتماع بهذه الطريقه العشوائيه وتحت بند الصلاه والتعزيه .
5- لايمكن من كان عضو بورد سابق وله أخطائه الغير بسيطه ( في الترحيل وفي التعيين )أن يشارك في تعديل القوانين لنصوت عليها .
