SAY NO to Planning Application for DPD Depot centre at the Moorehouse site on A25

This development should not go ahead, there is already a lot of congestion on the A25 and the project would only add to the problem. Looking to the future, what would happen if drones were used from this distribution centre? this is a distinct possibility, so everything should be done to prevent this project going ahead.

The A25 is already too busy with traffic and is simply not designed to cope with an increase.

A cynical ploy to reapply during the quieter summer months with no material change to the application which was rightly denied due to serious and negative impactful issues.

This revised application is so similar to the first application that it should again be refused

We already have major problems in Westerham with traffic, the M25 is bad enough without adding more v. large vehicles.

Good Morning, Thank you for your email below, I am sure you already know about the access road up to Clacketts Lane Service Station on the M.25 but just in case here is a thought.! At present (In fact it has been in place since the Clacketts Lane Service Station opened) there is an access road from the A.25 at Moorhouse to the service station on the M.25 for the emergency services to access the motorway. Therefore if there is access already from the A.25 to this area Why can this not be enlarged and give access directly on and off the motorway to this site at Moorhouse? This would then stop the need for Any extra lorries to use the narrow and already very busy A.25 making life hell for all the small towns and villages that will be affected by this development. As you are already aware when there is an accident on the M.25 the A.25 can come to a complete standstill making life hell for the residents of the towns and villages between Godstone and Sevenoaks. Your proposals would only make matters far, far worse if this plan was to be agreed. However, if this were implemented there would be no access at all from the A.25 and Lorries/cars could drive directly onto and off the new site from the M.25 which would make so much sense and be far better for all who live and work in the area not to mention much safer roads for locals and normal A.25 users. Direct access to the site from the M.25 would create new jobs for locals and no extra traffic on the A.25 as access to the site would only be directly on and off the M.25. The A.25 between Godstone and Sevenoaks cannot take any more traffic Enough! Please think again.

The increase in traffic flow will be hugely detrimental to the area and the environmental impact to an area of outstanding beauty.

Very disturbed by the potential effects on the already congested A 25 road

The extra traffic on the A25 and the lack of restrictions on road usage for small roads leading from this highway will be restrictive to the community and also affect the fragile grade 2 listed buildings.

This development is completely inappropriate for many reasons including the fact that Tandridge is an area of high employment, jobs created would be filled by candidates outside the area. There is no no public transport, site only accessible by car. The new application only discusses noise and pollution on site with no regards to the local environment and the people who live here. From a National Planning Policy Framework this site will create a greater impact on the openness of the Greenbelt. While landscaping is promised to be improved a building of this scale at the foot of the north downs will be very difficult to hide

This is not an industrial area (yet) and sets a dangerous precedent for future planning approvals in Areas of Outstanding Beauty.

Local roads are too narrow to accommodate all the large lorries. There are also many listed buildings along this part of the A25.

Increased traffic through A25 villages, with historic houses and places of interest which already suffer damage caused by accidents on narrow sections and fuel emission pollution, will only exacerbate this already serious problem.

I object to this planning application as it will further exacerbate the choked road between Sundridge and Godstone. Any depot of this size belongs off an urban dual carriageway not a small rural A road .

Huge increase in traffic levels, noise, pollution for a struggling A25. Reject this application and save our greenbelt

Trying again to catch us unawares in the summer holidays? Our roads cannot take the extra traffic!!!

The local area to the East of the proposed site is already classified as being in breach of permissible toxic road traffic fumes. We need to get more vehicles OFF the road not add more on. The Councils have a LEGAL obligation to ensure that these areas are restored to government set guidelines for pollution. Instead of developing plans to create more toxins that affect local people, where is the plan to meet their obligations??? The Carriageway, Brasted, Kent
