Women have been sexually objectified by society’s view of how they should
behave and dress. There needs to be a change. Women shouldn’t feel uncomfortable
and unsafe. There needs to be mutual respect; women are individuals and not objects
of desire.
Take this pledge to give women the support and comfort they deserve so that they are
able to step out of their homes wearing anything they want, without the worry
that they might be judged, sexually objectified, or harmed in any emotional or physical
way.
“When female stories are muted, we are teaching our kids that their dignity is second class and the historical accounts of their lives [are] less relevant. This lowered value carries over when women face sexual objectification and systemic brutalization from inside and outside the community.” ― Aurin Squire
