The City of Cape Town has published a proposal to lease a portion of the Lyon/Picardy park in Morningside for the installation of a 15m cellphone mast, for a period of 10 years. As residents of Morningside we are vehemently opposed to this, for the following reasons.

1. Negative Impact on Property Value and Marketability

2. Visual and Environmental Intrusion

3. Health and Well-Being Concerns

4. Noise, Lighting and Security Risks

5. Construction and Access Disruption

6. Alternative Sites Should Be Considered
