Dear President Obama and Fellow Americans,

Lung Cancer is the number one cancer killer in America. Each year tobacco use kills more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined. About half of all Americans who continue to smoke will eventually die because of that choice.

We are signing this letter in support of all Americans who wish to quit using tobacco. Mark Twain was quoted saying, “To cease smoking is the easiest thing I ever did. I ought to know because I've done it a thousand times.” We want you to know that YES YOU CAN make a healthy choice. YES YOU CAN choose not to use tobacco. We will stand by you and support you in any way we can even if it takes a thousand tries because whether you are President of the United States or the average Joe, your life matters. You are loved by someone. The suffering and loss of one life affects us all.

Mr. President, you once said “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” Now is the time to make that change. Now is the time to choose not to use tobacco. You ALL have the support of thousands of Americans behind you.

Sincerely signed,
Anyone and Everyone Who Would Like to Show Their Support

Tobacco is just poison. Why we still let these companies sell it is beyond me.
