Oakway infants and juniors is joining to become a primary school but are changing there name to "Diamond learning community". Many of the parent's at Oakway and infant and junior school strongly disagree with the proposed name and uniform change because... 1, By changing the name it will erase 43 years of history 2, The proposed name does not sound like a school and conjures up image that are not related to a primary school like a Community Centre and a special needs school or jewelry. 3, Learning community is what the school is not what a school should be called. 4, the proposed name is not relevant to the community and may cause embarrassment for anyone associated with the school.
