There's no question that we are now at a critical stage re our facilities. Doing nothing is not an option. We don't have to replace it with a palace but let's at least replace it with a modern facility built to support the community we have become. If our 50-year-old car finally died, we would replace it with ones with modern features such as seatbelts, airconditioning, power steering and power brakes. When we remodel our 50-year-old kitchen, we replace old, inefficient appliances with new and modern ones. We add features that weren't even available when our houses were built. Let's do the same with our rec center.

I'd love to see an updated facility, but I can't imagine why we would need a "Historic District Monument". It's already marked on every street.

This might already be included in the plans, but if not, I would like to see a poolside shower and prominent signs to let swimmers know, for public health reasons, that they should shower before entering pool.

The time has come...and come again...and again. Lets get this done together with every Oak Hills home owner. 100% yes vote is my goal. Open our minds and hearts together listening to all in order to leave a legacy after we are long gone. In that spirit, If I am alive, I promise now to vote yes to the next new community center in 2065. Thank you to every Original Homeowner for the last great 50 years at the rec center, and together lets bring on the next 50. Together we can do it.

Hi Colleen, the answer is we don't know yet. We have the tools to figure it out, but it will take some time 10-12 weeks. We will need site surveys, architectural drawing and engineering reviews. Plus the plan will chance throughout the summer based on homeowner input. We are also going to explore every option to making this as inexpensive as possible. Looking at spreading this over 15-20 years and monthly payments could make it affordable for all. Thats the goal!

Yes, as a community we need to do this. The Goganian's provided a good suggestion to make the payoff over a long period of time to reduce the financial impact.

YES! We cannot put this off any longer. This is an investment not only for our current community, but future Oak Hills residents as well.
