Our teaching and railroad colleagues have been recieving media coverage with their negotiations of late. We deserve this coverage too. We would like the public to be made aware of what has been offered to us. We understand that the board has decided not to go to the media but as paying NZNO members we disagree with this decision and urge you to please make our story public.
We are approaching our next target and need to keep this momentum going to ensure the board hears us. Post this link on Facebook and text three colleagues immediately to get us over the line.

We are approaching the 100 signature mark and need a final surge to hit this goal before we present our list. Post the link to your Facebook page right now and tag the NZNO board in your caption.

We are often voted the most trusted profession by the public, they trust us with their lives, we need them engaged in our struggle to earn a fair living for the jobs that we do.

W should not be held to ransom by not having coverage in the media, to get a fair deal the general public needs to understand how underfunded the health system is and that by withholding money to pay nurses properly the previous government has seriously undermined morale and health of nursing staff.

Other unions negotiate under fair play guidelines and yet they still have media coverage. It is time that the public become aware of the emotional, psychological and financial toll that nurse are under.

I support us having media coverage. Other unions are taking the message about their members to the media we need to be represented in the same way so our voice can be heard.

Definately need more of a media presence! Half of NZ have no idea what we are fighting for, let alone think we deserve it. Time to push harder for not just nurses but for the general public!
