We, as graduates of Harvard Business School, don’t believe the 2 recent New York Times articles ("Harvard Business School Case Study: Gender Equity" and "Class Is Seen Dividing Harvard Business School") are a balanced depiction of our school and our experience. We condemn the New York Times for reinforcing gender stereotypes that we have been working very hard to overcome and to change. We sincerely believe that gender and class divides are important global issues. Harvard Business School, as a leading global institution, needs to address those issues. While we hope that actions are taken to lessen those divisions over time, we disagree with singling these out as simply the issues of Harvard Business School.
