NYS IBCLC LICENSING PETITION

This is imperative. Moms and their babies need all the support from the most qualified professionals.

I am a board certified pediatrician and I support this bill.

Licensure of IBCLCs enables families to access "essential" lactation services. Mothers and babies have improved lifelong health and other benefits when breastfeeding goals are met.

Mothers deserve IBCLC care!

NY and to all US. This is a matter of primary health care.

I had trouble breast feeding my first child. I could not have persevered and been successful at this without the help of a licensed breast lactation consultant.

Licensure of lactation consultants would be a big step forward for mothers and babies in New York. Protect the welfare of NY mothers & babies and we protect the future of NY. Our children are our future! This is no small matter even if the baby food industry would like to brainwash us into believing it doesn't really matter if babies are breastfed or fed by their product to. It DOES matter to health, costs and general welfare.

It's time to move this forward!!!!!

I whole heartedly support this! They need to be licensed, it is important. Being able to nourish your children is a big part of being a mother! Everyone should be able to have this opportunity.
