Nys grandfather law to individuals over 18 years old before 11/13/19

Can't let me get legally addicted and then say I'm too young when I'm not too young to die for my country

This should totally be a thing

18 years old pay taxes we should be able to purchase anything look at other countries

There should not be a tobacco law that stops 18 year olds (Adults) to be able to not purchase tobacco products.

I agree but for people born in 1999 for 18 and up

I've personally been smoking since the age of 17, this law is not going to stop me or many others from just doing it regardless anyways. Can you really expect people who are already addicted and were able to purchase the products before to stop cold turkey now?

I have bought cigarettes for 2 years now I have to wait another 9 months just to buy them again

It does not effect me I'm 41 but this is wrong for those that have just been able to have it taken away just like that for that long

I believe that grandfathering 18 year olds born this year is a good idea because there are so many 18,19,and 20 year olds who have all been buying this product for months or years and is now having it taken away just seems pointless.

What happens to everyone that became hooked and now can’t buy it, were all just left to suffer without any help. Thanks Cuomo.

Don't take my rights away!!!! I turned 18 in February I waited till I was 18 I've been buying my stuff for almost a year now and you take that away from me that was a right I waited so long for!!! If new York doesn't change to the grandfather clause like 3/6 states that recently changed the age I will move out of New York before I'm 22 and never come back. That is a promise I've been trying to get out for so long this is a reason to leave sooner.

There are 18 y/o that are already addicted and if we strip that from them straight away we’re going to see a lot of sick people that are doing anything they can to get nicotine

If I can fight and die for my country at 18, I should be allowed to smoke and drink at 18.

People who smoked before this law were over 18 but not 21 should be a grandfather

I’ve been able to buy tobacco for 2 years and all of a sudden I can’t for the next 8 months?

Being 19 years old i see this as fair to the indiviuals whom have smoked already for almost two years.
