Veterans and Supporters Call on Governor Cuomo to Expand Energy
Infrastructure to Reduce Dependence on Foreign Energy.
All New Yorkers, including veterans, deserve access to affordable, reliable, and clean
energy. The Governor’s blockade on energy progress, specifically natural gas energy
infrastructure projects, has made that reality unachievable. His denials are driving up
energy costs and negatively impacting the lives of those who have fought for and
served our nation.
Governor Cuomo, we demand that you:
- End your de facto ban on energy infrastructure projects in New York State.
- Acknowledge natural gas as a clean, reliable, and affordable source of energy
By meeting these demands you will be:
- Promoting energy independence
- Supporting the U.S. Military initiative of reducing dependence on foreign oil
- Supporting low-income households who struggle to make ends meet by lowering
their energy costs
- Reaffirming your support for our military and veterans
- Supporting job creation and growth in our manufacturing centers
- Reducing energy costs in our rural communities
- Reducing energy costs in our important facilities such as schools, hospitals and
nursing homes
We, the undersigned, call on you to meet the above demands and support our troops,
veterans, and all New Yorkers who are in dire need of a more affordable state with more
economic opportunities.
Gov Cuomo, Lift your de facto ban on natural gas energy production in New York and support our military and job creation in our State.
