This over-sensationalized heading is inaccurate and a huge disservice to all the work I, and my colleagues, have been doing to support and protect bats and their habitat. It's also a giant step back from all.the work we've been doing to promote all the amazing things bats do for us humans!!! Please write a retraction correcting this horrible fearmongering.

Less than half of 1% of all bats may contract rabies. But in up to 99% of all cases where humans contract rabies, domestic dogs are responsible for transmission.

Bats are an extremely important part of our ecosystem and they are already being pushed to endangerment with the spread of white nose syndrome. Please stop spread fear and lies about creature that eat goddamn bugs and help keep balance
