Brian deserves a chance to prove that he can still perform the duties of a NYS Trooper. I find it unfair to force him to retire without giving him the opportunity to prove his capabilities with this unfortunate disability.

Brian has always been a hard worker and an asset to our agency. Even after health issues, he keeps working hard to come back to the job he loves. Isn't that the kind of person we want on this job?

Brian is the perfect example of what a New York State Trooper should be. Give him the chance to prove that he's capable, like he's done so many other times. Enough with the "We've always done it this way" mentality.

If your are medically cleared and able to pass all your required qualifications, you should be able to remain on the job. Continue to fight and God bless!

I support Brian and he should have the opportunity to requalify. We talk a lot about being a family and the thin blue line. We just kick him out because he got cancer?! Hang in there Brian! We’ve got your six!

Brian - I've followed your battle since meeting you and have admired your tenacity and dedication throughout your battle. If you're able to do the job, then I support you 100%. I suggest you contact Matt Schwartz, a NYSP retired who now is an instructor at FLETC in Georgia. He lost his leg and fought to get reinstated. He may have some insight that could be helpful.
