We are forced to work in the non fumigated area and replace the space of the 8staff members that are in quarantine. The college does not care about our live only care about the hours, what will happen if by the time I have to go on stage to fetch my certificate on the graduation day I will be dead because of covid? Will the college be proud that they are only calling names of the deceased on the graduation day? What will be the use of that certificate if I will be dead by then? The very same college management is scared to come to the clinics to monitor the condition we are working under in the clinicals because they are scared to get infected with covid19. How is that fair, I thought bursary students are not to be treated the same as the previous 2016 students who were employees /students, I can't be tested for covid in the clinical area because they don't want to test us as we are students, I can't afford to pay R1000 to test in private and the college is telling us that it is the responsibility of the clinical area to test the students. The Wits students are being sent to the clinical areas with full PPE then us we are sent with a sanitizer and a clothe mask. Can you think for us as we are one of your own please, our lives matters, we have families to take care of so we can't die & leave them alone in this world.
Can't SANC do something with the hours? I mean we didn't create this pandemic, we can't be expected to cover the hours in this pandemic as if everything is normal, when we are told that if you miss hours you will have to repay them does all those people who were not going to work under lock down in this pandemic and getting paid have to work on their rest days to pay the hours? Please be realistic

I don't want any qualification at the expense of my life... I'm not special but I don't have to take all this abuse and threats that what if this covid will still be here in 5 years. I say what if it won't be here next year... Who is to tell???

We are threatened to be terminated if we don't go to clinical and finish our hours instead of saving our lives.
