Dear Principal Dr. Meghan, Mrs. C, and Members of the Administration,

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed rotation of teachers among the different houses, that was brought up in the most recent Coffee With the Principal last week. This change would undermine the very foundation of stability, structure, and continuity that our students depend on from first grade through eighth. For years, the house system has provided a sense of belonging and identity that strengthens both academic and character development. Disrupting that balance would be a step backward for the entire community.

Black House, in particular, has exemplified what can be achieved through unity, consistency, and shared purpose. Mrs, Jackie, Mr. Burke, Ms. Alexander, the students, and parents have all poured extraordinary effort into cultivating a culture of excellence modeled after the Ron Clark Academy ideals. The results speak for themselves—our success is not incidental but the product of relentless dedication, collaboration, and commitment to higher standards.

To now rotate teachers between houses would fracture that progress. It would penalize those who have worked hard to build a thriving culture and, in turn, reward stagnation and lack of effort elsewhere. When children see that consistent investment and loyalty can be erased overnight, we send them the wrong message about perseverance and accountability.

Rather than dismantling what works, the administration should encourage all houses to emulate the systems and spirit that have proven successful. Excellence should inspire replication, not redistribution. If the goal is schoolwide elevation, the solution lies in sharing best practices—not uprooting them.

For the sake of our students’ growth, our teachers’ investment, and our community’s values, I urge you to reconsider this proposal. Continuity builds trust, and trust builds greatness. Let’s protect what makes Optimal Christian Academy exceptional.
